Three Professional Goals from my first semester

Three Professional Goals

I could relate to many of the thoughts expressed in all of the resources for this week.  They have helped me to solidify three professional goals I have set for myself.
!. I want to obtain my M.S. in Early Childhood studies with specialization in Teaching Adults.  This will enable me to work in a college. training center or hospital where I will teach other adults about Child Development.  This goal was supported in the resources when Kate Steffens, Ph. D.  stated in her welcome address, "We believe in supporting your developmnt as an education professional, so you in turn can support the development of your own students and learning communities." (Walden 2014)
2. I want to learn about and participate in research on healthy brain development.  I was happy to see that one of our courses, Education 6163, supports this goal. (Laureate 2010)
3. I want to advocate for the Early Childhood field so that we as professionals gain more respect, recognition and compensation in the future.  I felt suported in this when Kate Steffens, Ph.D. stated "Educators are among the most important members of our society..."(Walden 2014)
