Daily Supports

I am blessed to have many people who support me every day.  They get me through many tough days and help me to smile again.  They give me unconditional love.  We share life with an ongoing give and take of mutual support. I can't imagine doing life without them.

 These are my parents.  They have stuck by me through thick and thin.  They have been through so much adversity in life and overcome it all. Married for 51 years, I call them "statistic busters".  They are my inspiration every day.

 These are my daughters.  Who knew I would give birth to my two very best friends!  They are the first ones I think to call to talk things over.  Now that they are grown, we have a partnership.  We are in all of life together!

 These are my fellow Girl Scout Leaders.  We have raised our daughters together.  They have helped me in a million practical ways and are also great emotional and spiritual supports to me.

Joi is my bestie and neighbor.  We met working at the YMCA together.  When we both got divorced me moved to the same apartment complex.  I draw tremendous comfort from having her right across the street.  We help take care of each others' dogs and she cooks for me!

This is my boyfriend, David, the wonderful man God brought into my life.  He supports me emotionally and spiritually on a daily basis.  He gives me practical support whenever I ask.  He takes me to the grocery store every week and carries in my groceries for me.  Has anyone seen the movie, Old Fashioned?  We saw it together last night and it made us laugh, it is so much like us!

 And last but never least is my co-teachers.  We are in the trenches together every day, sharing the good, the bad and the ugly of taking care of ten precious babies.  They completely share my passion for children and the Early childhood profession!
